2025 BFNL Grand Final Details

The McDonald’s Ballarat Football Netball League is excited to announce details of the 2025 Carlton Draught Grand Finals, to be held at City Oval on Saturday, 20 September.

Six clubs will be represented across both the field and the court in what promises to be an unforgettable day of football and netball.

Headlining the action will be Sunbury v Darley in both the Senior Football and A Grade Netball.

On the football field, Darley will be looking to continue their unbeaten run stretching back to Round 1, while Sunbury will be out to cause the upset.

On the court, Sunbury will be chasing back-to-back A Grade premierships, with Darley desperate to end their run of Grand Final heartbreak.

In the Reserves, Sunbury will be eager to turn the tables after last year’s Grand Final loss, while Sebastopol’s journey to the decider has been nothing short of a fairy tale.

The Under 18.5 Football and Under 19 Netball will see North Ballarat take on East Point in a double clash.

The Kangaroos will be out for redemption after last year’s narrow football defeat and are chasing their first ever Under 19 premiership on the netball court.

For North, it is another chance to showcase their junior talent — continuing their run from fifth in the football and extending their recent dominance in the Under 19 netball competition.

Sunbury headline an astonishing five out of six netball grades, with the chance to write history if they can sweep the A, B, C, D and E Grade competitions.

Darley will have plenty to say about that, meeting them in the A, B and D deciders, while Lake Wendouree will be the ones tasked with stopping them in the C and E Grades.

League Chairman Rob Simmonds said the stage is set for one of the biggest Grand Final days in recent memory.

“The Carlton Draught Grand Final is always the highlight of our season and this year is shaping up to be another cracking day. To have six clubs represented shows the incredible strength of our competition, and we can’t wait to see the best of football and netball on display at City Oval this Saturday.”
